This is the house today. It's in a quiet neighborhood just a block from the French Quarter and there are lots of interesting houses and interesting people around. We can hardly wait to get in and get to work!
After 25 years of living overseas, we now have the chance to live in another great city and bring a bit of New Orleans history back to life. We want your input on everything, so we'll try to post pictures and we hope you'll give us feedback. Enjoy with us!

Hello!
I made my way here via Ginny M's blog... I figured that I should let you know: I'm getting my MA in Interior Design, so if you ever need any advice or opinions, I'd be more than happy to chat with you.
You might not need any help - you might have a designer, or a design background of your own. But I wanted to put it out there :)

Hi, Mike and Madelyn,
I don't know anything about restoring old homes, but I do go to two websites that have good information - bhg.com (Better Homes and Gardens - good links) and hgtv.com (from the TV show). Wish Cecil and I could be there to help, but we have our own remodeling projects going on. Hope to see you soon.
